Fayetteville residence 1
Fayetteville, Arkansas
After
The stamped, colored concrete patio allows for many activities now in the backyard space. The fire table, water feature, and upper deck allow different leisure activities from different locations. The raised planter provides easy gardening access and the height of the wall allows enjoyable seating as well. Drainage has been carefully planned in floor drains using a trench drain system. The bog is gone, the home’s foundation is protected, and the homeowner greatly enjoys relaxing in this space.
before
This residence was suffering from an almost permanent bog in the backyard. Poor grading trapped water in a “lawn area” in the back yard and the home’s slab foundation was at risk for cracking from water standing nearby for weeks and months on end. The retaining wall only allowed a tiny back porch so the owners also wanted to expand their outdoor enjoyment with a patio and small pavilion.
